An anniversary within an anniversary for Delft
In February 2026, the Holland Dance Festival will celebrate a special milestone: its 20th anniversary, reflecting on 40 years of international dance history. From February 4th to 21st, 2026, this festival will once again focus on dance at the highest level, with a rich and international program featuring world premieres, Dutch premieres, and leading choreographers and companies from around the world. And Theater de Veste is participating!
Anniversary within an anniversary
Theater de Veste also plays a key role again as the festival’s satellite theater – a long-standing partnership. This anniversary year, this partnership will once again shine with the national premiere of ” Talent On The Move ,” the program showcasing the dance talent of tomorrow. This is an especially festive occasion for Theater de Veste: the theater is hosting this premiere for the 10th time – an anniversary within an anniversary.
Springboard for talent
” Talent On The Move ” is known as an energetic and inspiring program where up-and-coming dancers present themselves in works by renowned choreographers. It’s a meeting place for young talent and craftsmanship, and a firm crowd-pleaser at the festival.
International Dance Biennial of the Netherlands
The Holland Dance Festival is the longest-running international dance biennial in the Netherlands and has believed in the unifying power of dance since 1987. The festival stands for inclusivity: dance is for everyone: professionals and amateurs, young and old, with or without disabilities. In addition to the festival program, HDF also organizes performances throughout the season, educational programs, workshops, and customized projects for various target groups.
