On 29 May, theatre DE VESTE hosts the electrifying 2024 remake of ‘Fight Night’ by Ontroerend Goed. Five contenders. Five rounds. One decisive vote — and the audience holds all the power.

Described by The Independent as “a cross between Big Brother and an Italian general election,” Fight Night is a sharp, playful and unsettling examination of democracy itself. Campaigns, debates, spin doctors and polls collide in a high-energy theatrical experiment where everything is designed to influence your choice — except political persuasion.

Ten years after its acclaimed premiere and worldwide tours from Australia to Canada and beyond, this remake reflects a changed world, where trust in democracy is more fragile than ever.

And the night doesn’t end when the curtain falls: students from TU Delft take over with a spectacular Kaleidos afterparty, turning DE VESTE into a vibrant late-night celebration of music, ideas and energy.
